Mrs Elizabeth Darcy

Okay, so it's not actually Lizzie dressed in her post-marriage finery, but I like to think it could be. It is in fact a copy of a portrait which is hanging in the Gallery of Beauties in the Nyphemburg Palace in Munich, Germany. It is such a beautiful and incredible place - well worth a visit if you're ever there. I have been told that one way to improve your drawing is to imitate the great artists of the past - it doesn't have to be an exact copy, but the point is to look at their works, learn from them, and produce something that represents you as well. I think this drawing was a worthwhile exercise in doing that.
